Any time always happy to help.
My weekend at the track. New brake ducts waiting to be installed and a little incident. Worst part of that was it was a pointless non track related oops. that happened the night before the event. Not my fault but that is the nice part of non original cars. Off to the paint shop today we should have it all fixed by the end of the week.
Car did well at Lightning NJMP. Have some more fine tuning to do. My front toe is set to 0.00 I am thinking it needs 0.01 of toe in per side to make it less twitchy. Car pulls strong when I have the nerve to put the pedal down. I was consistently doing 1:18/1:19's on a track I have only driven three times and not in two years, but next year I am shooting to shave 8 seconds. Unfortunately track season is over for me so now time to install all the gages and make much needed adjustments. After driving it at a couple of events this year I have made a long list of what needs to be done. Next year my goal is to exceed 30 track days or more.
I just ordered E88's in 9.5 ET 57 and 11 ET5 in all black. I plan to rework the rears of the Fikse's to be ET5 as well and remove the spacers. Might go with a Haltech ignition as well and retune for 92 and E80. This 100 octane stuff gets expensive especially now I am running two cars and three drivers at each event.
My friend made me some bandaids to cover the damage. Does anyone notice anything about the blood stains? Think track related?

Sorry to hear of your "garage" incident Cobalt. Gotta keep your sons friends outta your garage bud.
Band aide,... hmmmm designs,..... Looks to me from left to right, like Lime Rock, then Watkins Glen,... then Lime Rock again.
What, no VIR?,... or Summit Point band aides? ... no love for us near the southern tracks?
Hey, did you see my report on my Summit Point adventure? Really had fun last Friday.

No i did not will have to look for it. Actually it is Thunderbolt and Watkins.
I miss Summit haven't driven it in 6 years since we lost our dates but plan to drive it again next year. I am so bummed I missing VIR this year it is one of my favorite tracks despite the 9 hour drive.

Car is at my friend Pino's. It is in good hands and company. The white 65 911 was the car he restored years ago that brought $265k and set new records and the 911S targa on the lift will be stunning when done. The level of restoration will set new standards. The window regulators, springs and all hardware not seen will be restored to factory original condition. He doesn't just restore it to look good but to be as original in every detail as possible.
I am heading over today to remove the bumper and clear film off the rear quarter. Hopefully will be done by the end of the week.

Nice pictures Cobalt and nice cars! Hope the 964's rear end is going to be fixed quickly.
As for myself, I can share a picture of my two friends 3.2 Moss Green TurboLook and my 964 in the middle at a clubevent in Le Mans on the Bugatti track. The sun was going down at 6 PM and the cars still howling through the empty main straight. Absolutely magic atmosphere, the weather was perfect all day long too with nice 25c.
My brakes overheated at 3 PM so I couldn't drive anymore but the scenic alone would have been worth it. Even took a nap behind the pit boxes at noon.
I walked til the Dunlop curves in June at the 24hours of LeMans on the friday before the race and it was SO HOT but it was legendary, even more when you see dozens of crazy racecars rushing into the Dunlop cruves, just where you were standing hours before, downshifting and popping flames from 280+kph down to a little more than 100 while disks are glowing red. Very satisfying to have done it once in my life! Now portions of the track will never be the same for me.
I even had to stop at the red light and I though: "damn Kobayashi was sitting in his TS050 exactly where I am sitting right now when he made the move that made him lose the race". How incredible is that!!

Very nice. Sounds like a great experience.
Don't mean to monopolize this thread but I was sent some pictures of me driving at NJMP I would like to share.

^^^ Are you kidding Cobalt, keep them coming! Stunning, even with the minor booboo ^^^
Here's a photo my friend Greg took last weekend while trying out his new rig. I thought it turned out great. Best part was looking in my mirror and seeing this huge alien looking camera rig magnetically mounted onto the hood of his 911!
