Neither can I! Compared with some modern cars, the RS isn't any more hardcore in terms of ride and noise.

The ducts aren't actually running to the brakes! They aren't on many cars. I haven't suffered from fade and I use a very agressive pad which would generate extra heat! I do use decent race brake fluid. If I were you, assuming decent brake fluid, I would go out on the track and see what happens. If you can get some, I would put some temperature sensitive paint (available from AP and others) so as to see just how much heat you are dealing with.

Power to weight I am better than a Mk1 GT3 and worse than a Mk2, if you take the Porsche figures as being right. However, I suspect I am a bit down in practice against both. However, the car is, IMO, far more responsive and harrasing GT3's on the track it is considered good sport. We will know a bit more in less than a week as we are having a showdown, known as Judgement Day, between the later aircooled RS's (964 and 993) and the GT3's. It's all meant to be a bit of fun but it will be interesting to see the results.

I know which i would rather drive. One is an overweight water pump and the other is a race bred piece of automative genius. I don't care which is quicker. I knwo which is more satisfying to drive

My contribution. All original C4 -92, except white corners and cup-pipe. Considering 18" Sport design wheels or MY02 5-spoke. That would mean moving my current Cup1s for winter tires when I get back to Sweden from Rome.

I have an AIR (American International Racing) 964 splitter. It is fiberglass and fairly well made. You can use it with the lower plastic panels in place (which I do).

I like the smoked side indicators, not seen that done on a 964 before.

Hard to say. At Daytona at 160 the front felt planted, but that could easily be as much the suspension as anything else. I do know that it gets beat to heck, stone chip-wise, and so it is getting plenty of air across it!
