What is a fair price to pay for two complete rear seats in black leatherette in very good condition from a -92?
I'm gonna call the seller tomorrow and give him a bid.
He's had them stored in the garage for years and don't need them ever again, and I don't think there is a huge demand on the Swedish market.

What do you say guys?

Mavel,
I paid $500 USD for a set in perfect condition, however, you can get them cheaper. The first place I tried wanted $300 USD.

While we are on the topic, I bought these from LA Porsche. I would not recommend them. I went to them because they SAID they had the color I needed. No one else had it. As it turns out, they talk a good game but don't have a clue when it comes to Porsche int. colors. You'd think they would.
So, after sending the first set back that they told me were "light grey", I gave up on the light grey and went to classic grey. This set had a broken mounting ear. Sent back. After 3rd try I finally, I have a complete set.

Their return policy is very tight. I couldn't bail out and go elsewhere (without a hefty penalty) after they "mis-informed" me that they had the color I needed.

Jerry, I am over near the Knightsen side of Oakley.

Default NEW INFO ABOUT DIFFERENCES ON 964 REAR SEATS!

After having bought a pair of -92 rear seats, which did not fit I have made some investigations.

There are differences between cab. and coupé/targa/turbo rear seats.

I wanted black seats so the following text concerns only black colour:

According to the PET Seat catalogue, the partnumbers
964.522.017.09 8YR and 964.522.018.09 8YR is
rear seat (back rest) leather black, BUT NOT for cab,
only for coupé,targa and turbo.

The above is what I bought, but did not fit my cab.
It's the same dimension regarding mounting it into the existing holes/screws etc, but the back rest itself is to big/wide, so when you fold down the cab it will get stuck, or you must fold the back rest to horizontal position (so if you want to drive with cab down and your kids in the back, that is not possible)

So there are some other alternatives for me:

Alt.1: 964.522.017.68 43S und 964.522.018.68 43S (91-94 back rest leatherette black)
Alt 2: 964.522.017.69 8YR und 964.522..018.69 8YR (91-94 back rest leather black)
Alt 3: 964.522.017.62 43S und 964.522.018.62 43S (89-91 back rest leatherette black)
Alt 4: 964.522.017.63 KZ2 und 964.522.018.63 KZ2 (89-91 back rest leather black)

When I searched for rear seat in the ordinary PET I could not find it at all.
When I searched on the German Porsche site, I found that there is a special pdf document of 749 pages containing chapter 8 with all Porsche seats both front and rear. (you can download it)
(If you can´t find it, I'll mail it to you)

Conclusion:

I'm back on page 1, I still want to find a black a complete black rear seat for my 964 C4 cab.

One problem is that Porsche does not any longer manufacture the rear seats.

Another solution is to buy a trim kit, but it almost never become as good as the original. (And I really want the newer 91-94 solution with the release button on the top.

So If anyone has one of the above four alternatives (alt 1 & 2 is the most interesting), please contact me, I'm interested to buy them!

If you are using the "program" and not the .pdf version of pet than go back to the main model (944,928,911,etc) selection screen and click on model "stz" Seats-Catalogue 944/968/911/928 (1985>>1998). The seat selections are not available after you select a model type, they are separate.

I just checked and the PNs for the backrest with the release button on top are the same for Cab or coupe... now I'm confused.
Or are they?

Edit, they are different (I know, duh).
For what it is worth, I bought newer model rear seats and they look like they will clear.

Mark, It is difference between cab rear seats and coupé/targa/turbo!
The cab back seat rests are smaller on the cab. If you do like I did, I put the coupé back rests on my cab and they fitted ok when the cab was up, but when I tried to fold the cab down, the back rest prevented the cab to go down all the way.

However a cab seat back rest from a newer 964 91-94 with release button on the top, WILL FIT on an older cab 90-91.

I've also heard that 993 seat back rests will fit on a 964, but the patterns might be different on the seats.

Mavel,
Yes, the 993 seats will fit on a 964 and you are correct, the pattern is different. I can live with it.. Mine will be covered with child seats when up anyhow
