Cool It's Monday; what have you learned??

I learned two things over the weekend.
1) the car can't sit for 3 weeks in cold weather and still be expected to start. good thing I got my battery tender plugged in now.
2) when running electrical for said outlet, you must be careful not to inadvertantly hit the off switch on the furnace. It makes for a cold morning

The rest is inconsequential so now it's your turn.

I learned that plugging a 15A air compressor into a 10A circuit can get very frustrating until you figure out why it keeps shutting off.

I learned that replacing the front hood shocks is very easy (took 15 minutes for both).

I learned that trying to get 15 year old brake lines apart is not easy. Think I will wait untill Jeremy and me do the suspension swaps in a couple of weeks and there are more hands avaliable. I learned that my boots and rubber shocks stops are totally shot up front justifying my new suspension

Jim, maybe Jamie can help us, too..........if 4 hands are better than 2, 6 must be better than 4!!!!!!!

I learned that my car looks nice when it is clean.......

I learned that recovering my seats is going to be very costly......Maybe I should install new seats?????

I learned that adding Cat-Delete pipe to the exhaust that already had a G-pipe makes for a car that sounds wonderfull from 4k to redline; but is otherwise too loud for daily use. Now I gotta go find a cat since I "loaned" mine to my housemate before we loaded his 964 onto the truck for transport to California.

I learned that when ordering custom mats, one should double check ALL of the color selections!

Now I have a lovely set of black mats with black "PORSCHE" lettering.

I bet that looks very classy. Understated. Subtle. Even if it wasn't quite what you had in mind...

Heat-problem fixed yes! Or rather it fixed itself the following AM once the car dropped back down to about 10deg F overnight. Since then I've figured out the driver's side blower motor is on it's way to the rubbish bin - so I'll clean up all the connectors when I change out the motor.

Car is in the shop being serviced, this is one problem the cars had since I got it (heat/AC fans running erratic, no heat etc) I put the two related relays per another thread and no help. I rarely use heat or AC, the top is down or it's parked for the most part. They switched my CCU out with another and my HVAC problems stopped.... At the price quoted, it may be without heat or AC for some time to come! My wallet needs to stop bleeding, and recover from the 60m service with new distributor first.
