Question sunroof deletion interior question...

Hi Guys!
I have a question with regards to sunroof deletion by removing all the mechanisms, rails, and installing a fixed panel in the hole.

When the deletion is performed, is the headroom lost by the original sunroof gained back, or does the opening require further cutting to get rid of the parts that drop down and impede head room (does the roof sheet metal curve down into the cabin)? Or, is it simply a matter of removing all of the mechanisms which would then permit a normal headliner to be placed and gain back the lost head room (and save weight!!).

Does anyone have pictures of the headliner removed, showing all of the sunroof mechanism? That would answer my question, too

Thanks

Garrett,

Pelicanparts has an online How-to article on repairing the sunroof. http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache...rsche%22&hl=en Many photographs accompany the writeup. Hopefully, you'll find some useful.
