The just made it on these fronts for the turbo sized fenders.
The problem is the distance that the center has to be in the barrels.
There is a lip that we can't go past. You can see it here in these pics.

Just make sure this is not done as a one off please... I would like to be able to buy a 964 coupe to do the same... and it would be great to have someone provide panels that are as much as bolt-on as possible to accomplish the transformation...
R32 back on sale...

It's Just White
Hey Guys
The C4RSR was painted today.
The car will all painted, wet sanded and buffed by the end of the week.
I won't get to see the finished look till Monday cuz I'll be at the PCA club race at Road A.
So far all has gone very well.
We will start some reassembly next week!
Here is some pics of it during paint and this afternoon when Jimmie was done.
We're getten there!

Please let us know what something like this would cost to us mere mortals... nothing bad with starting to build a fund to budget for this transformation...

I'd love to possibly back date my car one day. Just would love to know if it's even remotely financially realistic for "us mortals"

Needs to be a coupe, imho, to look right. As long as the internals/engine/mechanics are in good condition the rest will get painted or replaced anyway...

Don, your cars look fantastic I'd love to do this sort of work but in the UK it would cost an absolute fortune.....
I'm getting a respray done on my C2 and wondered if you could answer two questions please?
The rear sunroof drain tubes come down to the engine lid opening. Are the grommets that are visbile on the outside connected to a pipe inside the bodywork that goes upto the sunroof or is it one-piece all the way from the roof down and through the hole. I don't want to just pull the grommet and either tear it or not be able to reconnect if necessary with subsequent drainage problems.....
Secondly, the felt seal that runs up the A-pillar and roof(which seals against the door window frames). It is rivetted to the bodywork? If I drill the rivets will metal fall into the bodyshell/roof-space and be lost, possible rattling away?
The bodyshop is not Porsche specialist and these are the last two areas that I am unsure about.
Hope you can help?
BTW, could you possibly PM the approximate cost of your body conversions with a set of wheels assuming a car was of sound bodywork to begin with.
Regards,
Gary
