Does any one know how much weight you save by replacing the normal rear screen with the thiner RS one?

Here in the good 'ol USA we have a stop light mounted at the top of the glass which adds maybe a pound or so of weight.

Including all the harnesses eliminated for the light and the light my RS glass was 5.5 pounds lighter.

Default RS Glass

CupCar-

Where were you able to find the proper RS glass? Am I correct in assuming that the gaskets are different as well?

I got the glass from Gert at www.carnewal.com in Belgium.

You will have to email him a request, the parts are not listed on his website.

For my 964 the part number was 964.545.107.08 and the gasket was the same. It was an easy R&R without breaking the old glass.

For a 993 the part number is 993.545.107.07 and I think it uses the same mounting system as the normal glass.

Check my information and part numbers out before you order anything!!!
