Never realized that 1989 964 was RWD or AWD
I (basically new to 964) was under the distinct impression that 1989 964 was AWD all the time. however i notice on ebay auction that you can switch between RWD and AWD.....like a " Carrera C2/C4"
This is the ebay quesiton.................
Q: So, when I get this car to Michigan will it have a 'salvage' title? Does the 4WD always opperate, or is there an on/off switch? Thanks, Rick

A: Every state is different. NJ titles have a small 'S' to show that it's a repaired title. NY states 'rebuilt salvage' at the bottom in very small letters. This vehicle already passed salvage inspection. If it was straight up salvage I wouldn't be able to register the car. You'll be able to register this vehilce like any other clean title vehicle. You can switch from RWD to 4WD.

Sorry, not true.
The car is either a C2 (two wheel drive, rear wheels) or C4 (full time all-wheel drive).
Marc
p.s. I had a look at the eBay listing and that is a C4 so full time AWD.
