Got an alignment and steering got stiff...
I lowered my C2 an inch or so a while back and finally got around to getting an alignment. I took it in because it was really quick steering due to some toe out due to the lowering. When I got it back from the shop this afternoon, (I've used them for years...successfully), the steering was very stiff. I mean, I can turn the wheel, say 45 degrees and it just holds there and the car keeps turning even when I take my hands off the wheel!! There is no recentering... It just does feel loose and supple any more. What might the shop have done? There is no squeeling from the PS pump, I just can't figure it out. Any thoughts!!?

Maybe your tierod jam nuts got tightened at a position to where the tierods are binding? Something is not right, best to return the car to this shop and have them at least drive it..

Your steering rack is under tension because they only used 1 wrench to tight the locknuts in the tierods. they should use two wrenches, and hold the tierod with one while they tighten the locknut with the other. You could fix it by loosening the locknut and then tightening them properly with two wrenches.
