Default underpan removal

i have the under the engine cover removed and i'm thinking the side covers that form the box around the engine should be removed too. seems like these serve no purpose and increase heat retention also

The one on the CAT side shields the engine from it (heat), the other side protects the engine from road debris.. that's MY excuse for leaving them on!

The aluminum shielding around the engine was put in place to help quiet the engine down.

I agree they really don't serve that great of a purpose and if I had the time I would take them out. Does the engine have to come out to get them off?

Cool

I am putting mine in, at least the one for the CAT-bypass, to protect the cables from the heat... on the other side I have the G-Pipe so not really needed there...
