Post Interior door skin removal

Recently the window on the passenger side dropped out of the runner. As a result, I need to take the door skin off to give the runner a good clean and re-set the window alignment in the window holder etc.

My problem is I have come to a halt when I try to remove the round door lock handle – the one you turn to lock the door when seated in the car. Without removing this, I can not get sufficient access to the window runner.

Can anybody guide me how to remove this? Much appreciated.

Stumped me when I looked at it, too. You need to remove the center of the locking **** (the part you twist -- you can just pry it out with a screwdriver). Inside, you'll find a bolt. If I remember correctly, it's an allen bolt. Once you have that off, the outside retaining ring screws off.

It's actually pretty easy to remove the locking **** - just pry off the center cap with a screwdriver/fingernail and undo the crosshead screw underneath. The the surrounding plastic thing will simply unscrew.
