964 Turbo
Greetings from the 996 Clan,
Checking out a 1992 964 Turbo..
Thought I'd ask you of any general comments, reviews, performance figures, problem areas.. just advices!
BTW, it's going for 28,500euros (equiv. $30k) is this good?
Thanks a lot,
Wael

Wael, while I'm sure you'll get asked more info (miles; mods; condition etc) so that folks can give informed opinions, you might also want to post this on the 964 Turbo bulletin board.

Wael,
If you want performance figure for the C2 turbo, visit the link on my signature. There are a lot of information there and also links to other Turbo sites.

I have a 91 C2T. The 91/92 model is the same. I cannot say enough about how wonderful these cars are. Still has some of that old kick-in-yer-pants acceleration, but is more refined and driveable than previous models.
My Turbo has been very reliable. It has done a couple of track days, been through one set of Bridgestones, and not a single hitch!
I can't really comment on the value of the car you are looking at, mine cost me AU$110K.
BTW - will this be a dialy driver for you, or are you wanting to buy and enjoy it on weekends only?
These cars are not great for sitting in traffic!
...but on the open road <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

I just got bought a 964 turbo with 38k miles and some upgrades. It was in the upper 30's. I would say that is a good price if it doesn't have like a ton of miles. I was looking at another 964 turbo before this for 33k with close to 70k miles. This is in USD. I think I got a pretty good deal.
