Which Spark Plugs?
Inspired by WMRiceman's thread on DIY Valve Adjustment, I'm thinking of tackling that job myself soon. I've had my 964 for just over a year now and my maintenance records don't explicitly show the last spark plug change. I might as well go ahead and change 'em myself.
When I do, I'll have a crack at the valve adjustment with an experienced Porschephile friend.
I don't want to start a holy war here, but what kind of plugs have you guys used? It seems like there's all kinds of voodoo science to spark plugs with exotic metals and strange french-tickler like attachments and all. So help me seperate fact from fiction and get a good set of plugs.
A few other spark plug questions while we're on the topic....

A few other spark plug questions while we're on the topic....
- What about gapping the plugs?
- How firmly should the plugs be torqued?

Terry,
On our 964's, the Porsche spec is Bosch FR5DTC, and (not applicable to your '90) for 92 and later, also Beru 14FR5DTU. Gap is .7 +.1mm. Torque 15-22 ft lbs. I've got the Bosch's in there now, and would replace them with the same next time.
