Unhappy Engine starts.....then stops!! Why?

I have a 1990 C4. I had not driven it in a couple of weeks. I went to start it, and it has some trouble starting because its cold outside....seems like it maybe flooded a bit after a few attempts, so I let her sit for the day. Now, it starts and runs for about 5 seconds then suddently stops. I can restart it, and then the same thing happens. If I keep the revs up higher, it will still quit. Seems as if the ignition is suddenly cutting out. Any ideas anyone?

I may have lucked out!! Or, thanks to the Rennlist, really...I went through the DME relay reset process, including disconnecting the battery, and now my Porsche is once again running great! Actually seems even more powerful than before!! (maybe I just havent driven it in too long....)
