Post Help, quick, please!

I need the PN for the plastic curtain thingy at the back of the rear spoiler. Mine is cracked, and I would like to replace it before I begin a 5000 mile trip in 10 days. I know it is helpful in directing air thru the engine. I have put off replacing this thing because it is obscenely expensive, and was waiting for the Porsche "gift coupon" The cheapskates never sent one. I'd like to order this thing today, if at all possible. TIA!

The original part number for the spoiler wall was

964.512.121.00

The updated part number is

Horst

Based on PET, I think the part number is 964 512 121 00, rear wall. If you can't locate one, I recall that some folks have had at least temporary success with black duct tape. It may not be elegant, but it will help direct the air into the engine compartment. Good luck.

Thanks, folks. Yeah, I thought about "100 mph tape" (Army terminology), but that is not acceptable for me unless "emergency". Chalk it up to my Obsessive- Compulsive personality disorder!

Damn! I called Stddard, Vertex, and AJ USA. Vertex told me it was $93., dealer item only. Stoddard & AJ (dealers) did not have in stock, quoted $95 -$97 + shipping. I do not like our local dealer, but decided, what the hell, and they did have it in stock. Wanted $106. I went over, got PCA discount and it now rests on my workbenc- cost $100. I guess I didn't get screwed too badly, since I didn't have to pay shipping. The price for this flimsy piece of plastic is criminal!

My duct tape is good up to 200mph. You must get yours from the Px.

No urgency to replace.Your car will run nice and cool on a long journey.you are more likely to overheat going to the local store for milk!

Arnold: yes, but it looks tacky. You are correct about running cool, however. I have fitted a fan relay bypass, which allows me to turn the oil cooler fan on manually. Because of the exhaust "improvements" and consequent noise, I had to also fit a small led at the edge of the dash to remind me that the thing is on. Temp drops like a rock even if stopped in a traffic jam on a HOT day.
