Default Just bought 8 antisqueal shims..but they're different shapes. Why?

Hi guys, quick quiz before I fit these bad boys tonight: Type 911 sent me two packs of 4 - one pack is 96435209600, and they have little half moon cut outs out of the edge. The other pack is same part no. but ending 01, and they have much smaller cut outs..
..anyone know if this is significant? Got to fit them, the squeal is becoming a scream!!

They should look like the ones on the far right in this pic.

the front ones should have 36/40 and the rears 28/30 stamped on them

'Tis correct, they are different sizes. Out of interest, how much did they charge for them? cos I need some too.

Thanks

snap them in the holders in the caliper then drop in the pad. Thats how I did it and have had no problems. I paid $4-$5 each one. $40 for the 8 front ones. Lot of cash for what they are.

Ahhh, I seeeee. - the little centre pegs are bigger on the ones with bigger cut outs on the pad (marked Dia.30s). I guess they'll fit bigger holes in the pistons, so I'll know which goes where, and the cut outs allow pad clearance..

Rennlist solves another mystery, and in record time!
Bill V., thanks so much for the photo..

McJohn - 3 pahnd each, from type911, next day delivery as usual.

I ditched the mushrooms on my car as they are a pest when it comes to change out pads. I just smeared a little high temp copper-based grease on the back of each pad (not the front ) and I have yet to hear a peep out of the brakes.
