S-03, YokoAVS ES100, or RE750
I'm ready to purchase new tires for my 90 C4, and the above seem to be some of the best options for price, handling, and noise/comfort. I have Ruf speedline 8Jx17AH256.7 and 9Jx17AH2ET44 with RE71's right now.
I will do occasional autocross and drivers ed, with more concern on learning to drive than on fastest time with street tires.
Can anyone provide feedback to help with my decision?
Tirerack prices
S-03 ($143/199), YokoAVS ES100 ($96/112), or RE750($122/160)
Thanks, Dave

Dave,
I run Yokohama AVS Sport on 18" 3.6 Turbo wheels and I must say that I am impressed by their performance compared to Bridgestone S-01 and Continental Sport Contact that I have also tried.
Still no substitute for R compound tires!

I had AVS ES 100's 215/45 17 size on my 325is and was very happy with them. They did very well in the wet and were good in the dry. They were also MUCH quiter than the Dunlop W10 that I had previously. The ES 100's had a bit more tread squirm than the W10's but that may have been due to the fact that they were worn down and ES 100's were brand new.
