Jason,

Thanx for the info,
I tried their website today but they were having some difficulty so I will check them out on monday.

Hopefully I can find some stuff a little cheaper.

What did you do to your transmission to get it to look so clean?

I consulted alot of stuff online about what restorers and other rebuilders were doing with cast aluminum. They all said they used duplicolor high heat silver with ceramic on intakes, transmissions, etc. So I did the same.
It helps seal the porous aluminum and it stays on through just about everything.

I have previously used it on bike rebuilds I have done, their black is great for 2 stroke bike exhausts, and I have used it on bike engines as well. It is a great paint.

I intend on using the high heat black on my exhaust manifolds as well.

I was digging through my pile of orsche documents today, trying to figure out what work the previous owner had done. In it I found the invoice for the clutch/flywheel work that was done. (And that I am now painfully paying to repair)

This shop told the previous owner that the 'dualmass flywheel failed' and was thus converted to the single mass setup (mess) that I have been fixing.

I wonder how they inspected and confirmed a dual mass flywheel failure on a car that never came with a dualmass flywheel???? Either I missed something and I have $2500 worth of the wrong parts coming or they were full of B.S.

Attached is a copy of the invoice.

Has anyone ever head of any 1989 C4s that had dual mass flywheels?

By the way, on the invoice you can see where they marked changing the rear main seal. It is funny that was the first thing Inoticed when I dropped the engine, that someone had ripped a chunk out of the RMS when installing it.
