Just installed a primary muffler bypass and a cat bypass pipe. After installation, I disconnected the battery to reset the DME.
Out on the test drive, after the car is warmed up. I hit the rev limiter in first and the car cuts out as usual... but will not recatch. All power is lost and the car dies. I look down at the tach and it look like it's pegged below zero. After I safely pull off the road, I try to restart the car, but no luck. I change the DME relay and check the fuel pump fuse which is good.
The engine spins fast but will not catch. Fuel pump works but it seems like no spark.
I have searched the forum to find similar problems and have seen crank sensor to coil to spark plugs.
Is there a definitive troubleshooting guide for me to follow?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
BTW, the sound of the bypass pipes give the car an absolutely lovely growl and the revs seems be much quicker.

WOW! Have been out of town and just found this post...sorry.
Great that you like the sound of your bypass pipes, but HORRIBLE that you've apparently only heard them once "at speed".
I dunno what to say other than it does appear your rev limiter stayed in the "kill" mode.
I really dunno what happened to you as I hit my rev limiter OFTEN when not paying attention and in "traffic" on the track.
I feel this post is VERY worthy of tossing some ideas around...so here is the "worthy bump" to the top.
