Dear Sir(s),
Can anyone tell me where would the hot air line be routed from the heat exchanger? Does the line go through the left side or the central area ? I have a suspection that the line leaked a bit because the interrior is hot.

Dear Felix,
The plumbing all comes together in the engine compartment and goes through the rear blower. It travels in this pipe to the heating and airconditioning assembly where it divides into the two mixing chambers. The interior gets hot for a number of reasons but I suspect that one or both of the mixing chamber servo valves are stuck open. Have you got heat coming through the left or right vents system in the front.
There will be no leak from the supply plumbing into your interior.
Ciao,
Adrian

Dear Felix,
Hot rear seats after a good run is not unusual. For me it is normal because I have removed some of the insulation. You will probably find there is nothing actually mechanically wrong with your C2. Again and this we have on another thread. Let us know where your engine temp is on the indicator. You might be running a tad hot or the airflow through the engine bay is not good. If you live in a very warm area you might also consider removing your rear engine cover to see if this helps. If you live in Europe I do not recommend you do this except in a dry summer. Please remember butted up against the rear seat is one very hot engine/transmission assembly. Some of the generated heat is going to be passed through the rear fire wall/bulkhead into the rear of the passenger compartment. This is unavoidable. You should feel the heat sometimes in the centre tunnel of my C4 after a 3 hour burn on an autobahn,

Dear Adrian,
Many thanks for your help. My problem is actually a not well connected heater blower fan funnel which leaks air when it is on. So my engine room is very hot. I found out after I parked the car, disconnected the sensor to turn on the heater fan motor. Thanks again,
Best Regards,
