I Assume 255/35/R18 tires on Christian's C4, and a '91 Tip has a fourth gear ratio of 0.728. If the car is Canadian, a final drive of 3.667 (Row), if US, a final drive of 3.555.
Thus if the indicated 180 mph were true, engine speed would be 6895 RPM (RoW). If car is US, engine speed would be 6685 RPM...right at redline.
Engine speed limitation (stock) is 6700 +/- 20 RPM. So I'd guess a US car could conceivably accomplish this within the cut-off. If the car has the 3.667 final drive, the 200 RPM over the cut-off would have to be programmed into the chip to be making 180 mph. I don't think 200 RPM over is a wise practice without engine modifications, rod bolts, yadda yadda. Whatever...you got *****.
