Post Worrying

Maybe it's me but the word 'worry' is appearing with increased regularity on this forum.

What is it about these cars which causes me, and it would appear everone else with the honourable exception of Adrian, to worry about these damn 964's?

Regards
Piers

Not to worry. Frankly, I don't think the word worry comes up often enough to cause you to worry. I mean, there's enough to worry about without adding your car to your list of worries.

Finally, worrying won't make it better, so in the words of the immortal Bobby McFarren, "Don't worry, be happy."

High,
Dont worry be happy, I try to take care of issues as they show up, and the rest of the time I spend enjoying the car, it works for me.
I have a saying I tell myself, "Anything can be fixed". It's evident by taking a look at the Porsche parts catolog. I dont think its the cars that worries us but the $$$$ it will take to fix them., Enjoy..Peace, Geo.

i.e. I worry about how I'm gonna tell the boss I need a grand for ANOTHER set of tires, Her; "YOU JUST BOUGHT NEW TIRES!".
Me; "Yeah, 6000 miles ago".

NEw tyres - after 6000 miles - what are you doing man??? Are you the burn-out king of the hill?

Roygarth

look after the car as best you can - if things break they break!

No wuckin' furries - as we say in Oz.

High,
John, You can do a burn out in a 964? I didnt think that was possible..
not the , but I drive only tight mountain roads and like the feel of a control slide here and there, 6000 may be a little low, but I never had a set of rubber get me 10k miles, just trying to make some cheap humor(really cheap)

Dear Piers,
It is a sign of the times I am afraid. It has nothing to do with the 964 series. You will find excatly the same feeling son all the other boards and forums specific to other series of 911s, including 993s, 996s and many other manufacturers as well.
Let me tell you all from the bottom of my heart. Do not waste time worrying about your cars. There are more important things to deal with in life. Suddenly the things you truly love and need are gone.
Your 964 is a beautifully engineered lump of metal. Look after it but do not worry about it. It is not alive and it cannot return anything to you except pleasure.
Ciao,
Adrian

Wink

Why not look at it from a positive point of view: if you are worrying about an inert lump of metal, then you can't have that much else to worry about can you?
