Question Clock Spring and New Steering Wheel Question

Is the clock spring something that is steering wheel dependent? That is, if I get a new steering wheel, will I need to replace the clock spring too?

When I had my steering wheel off to replace the switch cluster the clock spring assembly wasn't part of the wheel itself. If you plopping a Momo or something on there without an airbag then you won't need the clock spring... Putting a different airbag wheel on and you might, it will depend on what has changed.

The contact unit (clock spring) for the airbag is the same for all models/steering wheels with an airbag.

When I put my GT wheel in (Aitwe from AJ-USA) I had to reuse both the clock-spring and the horn wire. It's not hard at all.
