Post Parts Prices

Just purchased a Targa Bar seal. Winward (800-642-1348) was $100 cheaper than Pelican or Performance. Still unreal for a piece of rubber!!! In my next life I'm going to be a Porsche parts distributor.

Dear Jeff,
Just thank your lucky stars you do not own a 959. Our club magazine has a story by a 959 owner who had a couple of problems and needed parts. What a horror story even though if you can afford such a machine you should be able to afford to maintain it the parts costs are just incredible.
For the 964 sometimes you have no choice and have to purchase a Porsche part but for other things you can purchase the VW/Audi equivalent and save yourself a lot of money,
Ciao,
Adrian.

PS: Difference between a VW/Audi part and the Porsche equivalent. A Porsche part number painted on it. Relays, motors etc.

Dear Jeff,
With the stregth of the US dollar, you guys should be purchasing as much as you can direct from Europe. I am sure your local suppliers are not passing on the savings to you guys. What you pay in dollars for parts we pay in DM or CHF. In otherwards if you were purchasing the stuff here you would be saving between 40 and 50%. Not even the shipping is this much,
Ciao,
Adrian.

Example. I purchased a washer pump for the intensive washer system, 12UK Pounds. The door switches often discussed I got three plus rubber boots for 3UK pounds each.
I paid 158 Euros including shipping for a brand new 1990 21mm rear sway bar.
