Warning lights

When starting the engine on my Carrera 2-90 there is no sound or buzzer from the warning system. Most but not all of the signs lights up and the switch button lights on for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on. Can anyone explain how this warning system really should work and which lights should light up and not. Many thanks.

The lights should come on when you switch the ignition on & go out shortly after you start the engine. No buzzers is a good sign!! Have a look at your owners manual as this explains which lights should come on etc.

Welcome Teddy
It would be good to update your profile so we can see where you are based, and include details of your car. This is because there are slightly different systems installed depending on which country you are based in, and as importantly where the car originates from. For example, in the UK I have never heard of any car with a (working?) buzzer, where as it seems to be common (or standard?) in the US.

Mine, too!
Christer, you can test it by pulling your ABS fuse and then turning on the ignition.
I presume this is the buzzer you mean - not the 'lights-on' one.
(If Adrian was here he'd now be saying 'Guys, there is only one buzzer. And one gong!).

Guys
In what instances does the buzzer sound? I have never experienced this on mine, or heard of it from other owners I have talked to (well, I never specifically asked!).
In any case, Teddy - lights should come on and extinguish after the engine is started. The one exception is the 'spoiler position' light. This only goes out when the car exceeds 5mph or so after having started the car.
You can go to great lengths to ensure that all your lights are working as they should. However, if your big '!' light is working you will at least get a warning that something 'important' is wrong and you can go from there.
