Default New Clear Lenses & Front Spoiler (PICS!)

Hello everyone... I know we all love pictures around here so I figured I would post a few with the new clear lenses. I wasn't sure about the clear corners at first... Then someone posted a picture of what they looked like on a red Porker and I decided to do it.

Here you go...

And from another angle...

I really like the look.

I only have a few more things to do this year... Bleed the brakes, paint my rear calipers red to match the Big Reds in the front and a few other odds & ends. I was thinking about adding GPS Navigation... The kind where the screen pops out and flips down. I think it's Kenwood that makes one where it can also give you technical data about the engine. Of course then I'd need to upgrade speakers, add an amp and then rear subwoofers. Then next year... If the new business takes off as well as I think it will... I'll add a supercharger!

These are, of course, the things I dream about at night!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Wow - your car really does look great. I think the clear corners look good on any colour car except white or silver, perhaps.

Overall - it does look really excellent! The front splitter helps balance the rear spoiler well.

Looks great. The clear corners work really well. Is there a blue bulb in the turn indicator, or just a trick of the light? (top pic)

Darryl... Yes... It's a Sylvania "silvered" bulb. I originally ordered a set of 1157 & 194 LED amber lights. They looked good and you couldn't see them... But for some reason it sped up the blink rate to "Out of control!" So I still have the amber LED side markers and switched to the Sylvania silvered bulbs in front.

Blinkers in these cars are thermal based so the rely on low resistance to move amps through the circuit to blink properly. The good thing is they let you know when you have a bulb burned out (blink fast). Bad thing is you can't replace them with a high resistance bulb such as LED's. You can add a resistor around the LED's if you wanted, or you can buy a premade resistor for this setup. Or you can change the thermal blinker to an electronic one. I plan to do the latter when I get the 50 other things done I have on my list.

Heirsh... Thanks for the info. I figured it was something like that. They worked... Just real fast. I figure I can use them in another application... Having a bunch of spare LEDs is always good.

Great pics and the car does look v.sweet! Now you have to update your avatar so you can show it off on a permabasis!

marc -- I have to disagree, I think the clear corners and removal of the black bumperettes looks good on ANY color period -including white and especially silver!

Rick, nice look on the car. Bought time we see the updates. I've got the silver turn signal bulbs in our car also; love the look.

Wish you were closer; but then again the influence could be expensive.

Purchased mine through Sunset Imports (no affiliation). Around $15 for the set!
