Looks that way. I think that the drilled one must have exaggerated a problem elsewhere (perhaps relating to airflow). But it is cheaper to keep the stock airbox!

If there is an underlying problem surely it is better to resolve it rather than simply hide it again?

If the problem is intermittent it is near on impossible to track down!
