Cruise Control and Not returning to idle
Since its cold its a good time to spend in the garage. My CC hasn't worked so I set about checking the clutch micro switch. That seems to have been the problem, now a bigger problem.
Once engaged, the car won't return to a normal idle. Set CC, drive for a while. Stop CC (either dip clutch, apply brakes, or pull on CC control) engine races to 3.5-4K (not one set point).
I've examined for broken actuator, broken return spring, ... don't see anything at the throttle plate that isn't "normal" (haven't been back there when the engine is racing so can't tell which of the 3 throttle acutators it causing the problems).
Any pointers/insight?
