Removing front speakers
I'm planning on replacing my speakers with better ones. Do the front speakers just pull out, or do I need to remove the door panel to remove them?

Andy-
You have to pull the speaker covers off and you should see 4 screws securing the speakers to the door panels. Unscrew and disconnect speaker wires.

But....you may also have tweeters in the upper door panel. Those come out easy too. Its getting new speakers to fit perfectly that can be a pain.
Now, if you go through that trouble, you will want to replace the crossovers which are hidden in a compartment inside the armrest.
Check out this site for some really good technical info....plus the guy makes some killer subs too.

Thanks for your help everyone! I managed to change my front speakers today! The cover to the Tweeters does unswrew, but the Mid Range does not. Luckliy, I managed to carefully remove the covers with the help of a screw driver, mount my new Infinity 552i's (13cm) & re-use the stock covers!
It sounds much better now. With 13 years of use, the origional ones had virtually disintigrated!
