Default Brake/clutch bleed problem

I am having a problem with my fluid reservoir. I am using a power bleeder, but I cannot get it to build any pressure. I hooked it up to my Mercedes and it worked just fine, so I am guessing that there is something wrong on the Porsche end. Is it possible for the reservoir to have a small crack or something? I don't see any evidence of fluid leaking in the trunk area. I am tightening the cap as tight as it will go. What am I doing wrong?

Did you clamp the overflow hose/line?

No. Is it the one near the top that is cloth covered? What do I clamp it with?

Check photos out here:

Second photo displays the correct hose to clamp (using a vise grip).

Thanks, I got it done. I was amazed at how much black goopy fluid came out until I saw the ATE blue. I was also able to verify that the overflow does indeed work when I removed the clamp before de-pressurizing the power bleeder

If you want more junk out and bleed the ABS, turn on your ignition while the power bleeder is hooked up.

This will flow new clean fluid through the ABS pump. FWIW.

Where would I hook up the collector? Done after normal bleed?

Not on a 964. Different operation completely. The 993 3-channel ABS and 4-channel ABS/ABD system also work differently. The pump can only be cleaned out if you have a 993 with ABD, which you have on the RS.
To activate the ABS return pump in the ABS only systems you need the Bosch Hammer.
Ciao,
Adrian.

Hummmm...

Yes masser! Thank you for the precision.

I knew the 993 with ABD. Sorry if I added confusion to the 964 community
