Post 6 point Harness installation

I was installing my old harness from my 83 SC into my 93 C2 Coupe and noticed that the inside lap belt “connector” is mounted to the seat. Where should I mount the eye bolt?

My old car had the SRD seats and I used the 5 point harness. Since I don't plan on replacing the seats, I purchased the extra (6 point) belt. Do I need to mount the adapters to the floor?

Thanks in advance.

The best and safest install will require you to drill a hole for the eyelet. Many drivers place the eyelets in the floor behind the drivers seat. My RSA had the hip belts mounted in this manner. I was not happy with the angle of the belt.

The other option (easiest way to complete the install) is to purchase a mounting kit from Brey-Krause.

and

<a href="http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r9003.php" target="_blank">http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r9003.php</a> outside kit

The kits are $65 each per pair (a pair is two tunnel mounts or two outside mounts). This setup uses stock mounting points. I used the tunnel kit, with eyelets at the outside mounting points.

This setup is NOT approved for Club Racing.

Check with your region for acceptability.

The install is a breeze and you can retain functional use of your street lap belts.
