Where does the 911 go after 993/996/997/999?

Assuming there will be another model in 3 years called the 998 and 3-4 years later a 999 what happens then?
Is that the end of the line for the 911 series?
Or will we be all driving space ships so it wont matter?
I want my space ship to look like my 911 but do space ships have to be round like on the TV?

Seriously though, I don't know. Not sure if the project number matters so much anymore if they can call it a 911 anyway by slapping a badge on it.

It's fairly obvious that Porsche is moving towards giving it's new cars names vs. numbers. Maybe they'll just call it the Carrera from now on instead to make things easier?
