I had read a post that said that there was a back-up cable the extended up under the drivers side wheel well and exited towards the rear of the wheel well. You may have to remove part of the wheel liner plastic to see it.
My car does have something similar there, but I can't confirm or deny if that is the hood release.
Certainly worth a try.

ForsterB,
You need to remove the front half of the plastic inner fender liner on the left side of the car. Underneath the fender, along the side vertical wall of the truck, at the front of the car (near the battery overflow line) is a small steel cable with a loop in the end.
This is the emergency release.

Mike and Brian,
I have looked, the 90 doesn't seem to have an emergency release.
I will probably take it to a shop in Seattle.
Thanks for your help.
