Just got my 1993 964 c2 RHD tip last week and loving it. Decided to upgrade the stereo to a 10stack changer and used the velcro onto the petrol tank tip - fantastic no skipping at all. One question though, I found the hole in the bulkhead near the hinge from the front 'boot' but cant find a hole inside the car to feed the wire to the stereo. Right now its hanging out of the (removed) glove box light fitting hole before I drum up the courage to drill a hole in the inner metal case inside the car above the glove box. Did you guys have to do this or did you find a suitable way of getting the wire from the bulkhead area above the stereo area or did you drill a hole?

Hi Icollins,
search for the hole in the firewall, it's nearby the spot where the steering wheel goes to the front. You'll find a bunch of electrical wires going thru' the hole to the front. The trick is to push the cd cable thru' this hole. Firstly attach a steel cable to the end of the cd cable and push that cable to the front until you can get hold of it, than gently pull the string. Have someone there to help and push that cd cable head thru’ the hole.
Have a great one.

I am about to install a CD changer and will use the velcro route. I have used the method before and never had problems.

Regarding skipping mentioned above, I have an Alpine 6 CD changer in the trunk which has an adjustment lever for vertical or horizontal mounting. Only if this lever is set wrong it will skip.
If my changer was skipping and the unit was installed by a shop I'd check the simple things first: mounting adjustments and transport screws.

Enjoy, Nol <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
