Post Just a thought!
If when outlining problems we made a habit of stating the mileage of our cars, it would be helpful to us all in getting a feel for things to keep an eye out for in the future. I realise that there many other variables to consider but it might prove useful?

There you see it works! In 35,000 miles my car will suffer from intermittent wiper failure, as I'm forewarned I can start saving now!

And 35000 miles ago I didn't take my cat off and avoided finding out about worn valve guides. Ignorance is such bliss!

What's happening with that anyway Piers?

To be honest as 'The Sweet' famously sang in 'Ballroom Blitz' c.1975. 'I havent got a clue what to do'

As oil consumption is still low and car running well I'm going to leave it for now, at end of summer I'll revisit it!
