When I installed 4"x6" Cerwin Vegas in the rear deck of my 'C2 a few years back, they came without grills. The OEM (Blaupunkt) grills only fit loosely on the C.V.'s. Called C.V., and was told they don't make grills to fit their 4x6 speakers. Wound up putting the OEM grills on the C.V.s using black, double-back sticky foam (very carefully cut pieces). Works okay, but not ideal.
I e-mailed C.V. a few days ago, and got the same response I did a few years ago = no source for 4x6 grills (even though they still sell 4x6 speakers).
I've tried searching the 'net and Radioshack, no luck for a source of 4"x6" grills that might fit my Cerwin Vegas better.
Any ideas? Thanks ....

Randall:
Went through the same hassle when I put in my Infinity Kappas last month. I tried multiple sources for 4x6 grills and no one, I repeat no one had them. I think Kenwood actually provides them with some of their speakers. Most installers will make little custom covers for you. But for $60, I took a pass.
I had the installer follow JonK's tip and just velcro the original covers on top. Has held fine so far.
Good hunting.

Guys, one of you email me offline...that way I have a reminder to check on this.
Last year, shortly after acquiring my 964, I installed Infinity Kappas (like DaveS) and my friend who supplied the Kappas had some 4" x 6" grills from some installs where he didn't need the grills...as most 4" x 6" installations are behind kick panels, etc.
I am currently at work and don't have his email...so email me offline and I'll blast an email off to him asking to send his extras...he used a Dremel tool and made four little notches in them so they'd be held on just like the Kappas intended...if grills came with them! <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />
