Custom wheels?
I have just purchased a 1992 America Roadster. The car is lowered 1 1/4". I really do like the stock 17" much, so I'm in search of some 18". There are alot of choices out there, but really don't know which one looks the best on the car. Will anyone out there with custon wheel post pictures of their car. I was also look at the newer 996 18" wheels. Please post pics, thank you!
I think that the 18" Speedline 3-piece wheels look best on widebody 964's (including the America Roadster). The topic of 18" wheels on America Roadster has been discussed before - do a search for "18" and you should find the posts.
The 18" speedlines were factory equipment on Turbo 3.6's. See http://www.flachbau.com for pictures. RH and a couple of other manufacturers make replica -- look in a copy of Excellence.

Not exactly custom nor 18's, but different.

17" Sport Classic Wheels. BBS also makes an 18" Sport Classic II which you can see at http://www.wheelenhancement.com.

Wow, those Sport Classics look better than my Fikse Fm-10's I think, wanna trade?
I think the new 18" 5 spoke 996 rims would look sweet on our 964s, but not sure if the 10" wide rims for the rear would fit or not.

Well, even though they're not as heavy and cost a lot more, I think I could be persuaded into a straight swap.
I definitely like the look of your wheels, too, Mueller. I think the black car definitely requires a larger-looking rim for a more balanced look. I'm not sure what color your Roadster is, Boxer..., but there are definitely a lot of options to consider. Even though our wheels are similar, you can see that there's a significant difference between silver-painted finishes and a polished steel. I even think black wheels with polished lips look great on yellow cars, but that's just my opinion.
Have fun deciding.
