Unhappy Poor Radio Reception

Hi all

Ever since I have had my C2RS,the radio reception is awful.

Is there a signal amplifier somewhere in the C2, and if so where, or is there something else that I need to check?

Any hints would be much appreciated, as then the Mrs might let us use the RS a bit more often when she has "something to listen to other than that engine"

The RS is not supposed to have a radio. I am not kidding either. Only the 11 RHD tourers left the factory with radios in them, unless it was specifically requested by the customer. Check the windshield. Does it have the antenna installed in it. If you have the windshield look for the little tab along the bottom of the windshield should be around the edge of the rear of the dash. This is connected to a simple antenna booster. The RS only has a 36amp/hr battery and a small alternator.
You will need to check these little details.
Ciao,

PS: Is yours a RHD Tourer, a RHD RS or a LHD RS.

Hi Adrian

Thanks for the promt reply.

Mine is a RHD RS.

The windshield does have the antenna in it as the previous owner had a new screen fitted that incorporated the antenna and the radio fitted at the same time. I will go delving behind the dashboard to see what I can find.

Hi. try pulling the clock - it slides out. the screen antenna connects behind there, via a wee plug-in box (which may be the booster?)
Spoke to a guy who just had two wires twisted together there, and poor reception.

Oh- do RS's HAVE clocks?! (Maybe ones with hollow hands and lightweight numerals..?)
