Red face Electrical gremlins

Wondering if anyone knows how to repair either of the following, or should the car visit the dealer?
1)Car has had turbo tail installed by prior owner, so the warning light for the motorized wing is going off all of the time. Can this be disabled so that it could be re-installed if I go back to the original tail?
2)Passenger side pwr seat controls do not work, either of them. Is this common? Is it the switch or am I in serious repair dollar country?

Answer to question 1 is yes. Check out the DIY section of www.p-car.com this is or the 993 but the 964 is the same plug and pins.
Answer to question 2 is as follows,
First check fuses.
Second remove seat and repair broken wiring. The most common cause of this problem is a simple old broken wire under the seat. You need to remove the seat normally to find the damage. Howevever just check the fuse first,
