Post Tired of Your Drilled Airbox?

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but if any of you 964 guys are tired of hearing your drilled out airbox cover, and want to sell it, I am very interested. Please let me know. I want to try one on my new C2, but I want to keep the stock cover intact if I can. Thanks much.

Hi,
You could try removing the airbox cover and taping the filter in place, then go for a drive to see if you like the sound. Someone suggested I try this.
I did, and I wasn't that impressed - after that I decided to stick with the original cover and stopped looking for a drilled one. It will probably convince you that you do need one (most people like it) but at least you can try before you buy.

Scupper,
Also try removing just the trumpet section of the air box without drilling any holes & see if you like the result. <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

Scupper, for your information;
driving your car without the airbox cover is NOT the same as driving with a drilled out cover. The sound is different. And driving with a cover without the trumpet section is NOT the same as with the drilled aribox cover!
The drilled airbox gives the sound "the" extra dimension. Those who have a drilled airbox cover know what I'm talking about.
Greetz.
