Thanks, Barry, but yes, I have checked every fuse I could find (spotted the ones under the dash).

Interestingly, the central-electric's lid shows 'starter relay' at position 61 (I think), but my position 61 is empty!

Anyway, I took out all the relays and gave them a thump for good measure!

I'll see what 9M make of it all on Friday.

Actually, Rob, the Lupo is also having problems with its alarm (!) and is going to the dealer on Friday 'to be fixed...'

AND, the X1/9 was stuttering a bit at the weekend - looks like I might be coming on my mountain bike!

Now if people can't keep up with THAT...!

Good luck with your immobiliser John, ive got the same a 4 pin porsche one-without using it the car wont crank,
the problem with mine is the socket is worn out and i have to try a few times before i get the two beeps.
Ive tryed cleaning the inside of the socket with ipa and even "teasing! out the contacts with a pin,its better but still not 100%
If anyone knows where i can get a new immobiliser soket that would be cool !
Otherwise im taking it to an alarm place and getting a whole new immob fitted.
