Okay, I am a sucker. I fixed my targa top and it is working and looks great. I wanted something for parking downtown. I checked out the forum on pelican parts and decide to get the sparetop off ebay realizing it might need some fine tuning. Well, it is wortheless and far from leakproof. I think I can have my 5yo use it as an expensive sled this winter and then I will donate it to goodwill so atleast I will recover 33% value in the form of a tax break. has anybody modified this to anything useful besides a sled?? I know there is more than one sucker out there as dumb as I am. oh well curosity got me again.

What specifically makes this top a piece of crap?
Is it the quality of construction? Or fit?

I could be pursuaded to buy it from you if you're not happy with it, but only if it truly isn't a piece of crap...(I got enough crap!)

I was thinking of laminating 2X2 twill carbon fiber to the top to give it that custom CF look. Bad fitment could simply be a matter of seals.

Don't give it to your kid just yet...
