Post engine cranks, no fire

After sitting for a week, my starter just cranks, car doesn't want to fire...have had this problem before, after it gets running car is fine, until i have to leave it for a while, then it gives me trouble...any ideas, fuel pump relay, fuses, fuel pump

check the easy/ obvious stuff first- the fuse, as you stated- there is a test plug for fuses in fuse box. See if the fuel injection relay is working properly (borrow one from a friend- it's the same as the 944 relay-) if the relay is bad, replace it with a 993 fuel injection relay- they are more sophisticated, work better- $18.00. Turn the key to "on" and see if you can hear the pump run. There is also a way to jump the pump relay if you know which terminals to bridge in the plug that plugs into your DME. If all this checks out, next step, I would guess is to see if you are getting spark.
