Tire Pressures
#4
Race Car
Arnold, I also have the same tire sizes as you and have recently decided to run 32 PSI in the fronts and 36 PSI in the rear.
I have based this on the fact that I owned an SC for 7 years and ran 30 PSI front and 34 rear...this car was over 400lbs lighter than my 964 C2.
A good friend and local P-Car facility owner gave me his advice when I purchased my 964 6 weeks ago and quickly upgraded to 17" Boxster wheels. He said that out of all of the 964s that come in where the owners were running factory recommended tire pressures...the middle of all four tires were prematurly worn. I have seen this as well, especially on the rear.
I am going to try this pressure for one set of tires, then make a decision...just as I do w/track tires - now there is a hot topic up for discussion!! Cheers.
