964 black sheep & problems
I think the 964 "problems" are over rated, especially in the late 92's the 93's and 94's
I would also like to add that the 993 also have their problems. I know more than one 95 993 owner who has had to replace the wiring harness. Other problems will likely surface as these cars age.
The looks are subjective. I think the fenders are a little cumbersome and that the 993's are cleaner - but they are both beautiful cars.
For me it was a no brainer. I was going to buy a 95 993 cab but ended up with a 92 C2 cab America Roadster - It's basically a turbo with a normally aspired 3.6
A 92 widebody cab with turbo suspension, chasis and brakes beats a 95 993 cab hands down. 0 to 100 mph is not noticably different for the 95's I have raced and it handles better - which actually makes it faster on the track - all for less money.
I think I would have bought a 95 993 cab over a regular 964 cab though..
Just my two cents.
