Don't know if anyone is intersted, but I was just on the Bird web site and noticed all their center armrests are on sale. The 964 model usually goes for $449 - it's now $339. While still rather pricey, it is a well constructed and useful additon to the cockpit. See:

Darn it - these things always go on sale after I buy one at the higher price. I also am an unconnected and very happy user - both the extra storage space and the arm rest suit my use of the car - especially on long journeys
