Does anyone know where those metal floor board sheets can be purchased?
McMaster-Carr at www.mcmaster-carr.com. I used part # 9058 K131, quantity 2, Textured aluminum alloy sheet, .032 thick, 24"x24", weave pattern. You'll have excess from the drivers side you can add to the passenger side to extend coverage further up the wheel well.

Well, you look away for a minute and miss all the fun!

Just to reassure you, Jerseybean, I have met Christer and found him to be an overbearing, arrogant swine -oops, I mean a great guy with a good sense of humour.

Christer, like some others, is sometimes misunderstood which is a bit strange really, as he generally says just exactly what he means! People just sometimes think there's some sort of 'reading-between-the-lines' to be done but there isn't. He just tells it like it is.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - every 964 owner I have EVER met has proved to be a great person.

And now, back to our programme...

Bill - try as I might, I can't get that link to work (and I e-mail PCA to try to buy the back issue but they have not got back to me).

Any other link I can try to get that article??

Thanks............Marc

Marc,

I click on it and Microsoft Word comes right up to open the document. If you don't have Microsoft Word, I could save the document in text, but you'd lose the pictures and tables.

To order from PCA, the web page showing the issue price ($3) is here. and the online ordering is here. or you can print an order form from here.

If you're going to order the issue, you might want to also order the August 1999 issue where Joel Reiser has an article entitled "Late Model 911 Performance Enhancement" which has some good 964 discussion, too.

So, do you have to cut and bend the sheets to your floor size and shape? How?

Thanks,

I used a floor mat to trace a pattern, then used heavy duty tin snips to cut it out (a Dremel tool with cutting wheel would work too). The metal is thin enough that you can work it by hand. On the drivers side I ran the sheeting up the wooden floorboard enough to be able to use two screws to secure it.

I am actually Norwegian so the sarcasm on my part does not come naturally. I have to work at it.

And yes, lets make up but no tongues. At least not on a first date
