Sure hope you and your family got out of Pensacola before the cane comes storming in there today! Looks like you will be in for a ruff time. 140 MPH winds will make a deadly mess for sure. What did we ever do here in Florida to deserve all these storms !

I moved away from PR to get away from the hurricanes... only to( I understand it had not occurred for the last 45 years or so...) having them come to Orlando...

At least in PR all the structure of the houses are made out of reinforced concrete... still, we love living here.

Yep, hope all our Gulf Coast Rennlisters were OK. We were on our way to a vac home in Destin starting Saturday. Got as far as Baton Rouge on Fri night when it became obvious that it wasn't going to happen this year. Scarey stuff and just glad it seems not to have been as bad as Ivan.

Thanks for the thoughts, Jim. I did get out, although my roommate stayed down there. Luckily Pensacola seems to have dodged the bullet, and I've heard that the damage isn't nearly as bad as Ivan was. We'll see when I get back home...
