Post Aero Mirrors

I have a '91 C2 with flag mirrors. I would like to replace them with the aero style mirrors. I have a chance to buy a set of aero style mirrors from a '92 C4. I was wondering if the aero mirrors from the '92 C4 will plug into my car's wiring harness with out modification. Thanks.null

I am pretty sure that you will have to modify the wiring...the flag mirrors have a 7 pin connector and the aero mirrors have a 15 pin connector.

It shouldn't be a big deal though...and you can get the plugs from Porsche. The 15-pole connector part number is 92861261500 and the socket is 92861251502. BW Motorsports sells a mirror wiring adapter for installing aero mirrors in earlier cars.

Thumbs up

Sounds like David has the right tech info, and I just have to add that IMHO this is one of the nicest upgrades you can make to an earlier 964. For some reason the aero mirrors really seem to "fit" much better with the 964's look.

If there are any tips or surprises you experience the install, please post them here as others will definitely find it valuable. Thanks and Good luck!
