Post Oil leaks

Right. Now I've got my rather trivial cooling blower problem sorted, I'll move on to my oil leaks.

I have a 92 C" Tip, owned sinced October 2001, with 86k miles (137k km)on the clock.

When I bought it I had some work down on leaking oil pipes to/from the oil reservoir in front of rear right wheel arch and other bits & piees. Strasse mechaniic mentioned oil leaks from two areas;

through bolts (whatever they may be)
prop shaft seal

They have suggested that replacing valve guides, piston rings etc while the engine's out - cost £2500 + VAT.

Comments welcome.
